Since May 2019, our faculty has been part of the Drive2TheFuture project consortium, as a third party for Eurnex association.
This project is supported in the frame of H2020, the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation. The project aims to prepare “drivers”, travellers and vehicle operators of the future to accept and use connected, cooperative and automated transport modes and the industry of these technologies to understand and meet their needs and wants.
Why is the word "driver" in quotes? Because in the future the "driver" will not have to sit directly in the vehicle. The means of transport of the future will be able to be controlled by dispatchers from the central office, or the vehicle will be driven and controled solely on the prescribed route, various automation and optimization algorithms, data from a number of sensors...

Our faculty as a part of a consortium of 12
institutions from 4 countries was successful with application for Erasmus+ K2 Capacity Building in the field of Higher
Education - Joint Projects. The
project is named as ACeSYRI (Advanced
Centre for PhD Students and Young Researchers in Informatics), and its main goal is to improve
research conditions of young researchers and PhD students in informatics

international cooperation with EU universities. Therefore, we plan to develop a
virtual portal and center in Kazakhstan in order to promote the collaboration
between the target groups: PhD students, young researchers, academic teachers.
In general, ACeSYRI allows participants to form research groups, to collaborate
with international research partners and to share information and project
results. Using ACeSYRI to collaborate will be free of charge and will be
available to students and young researchers from universities and enterprises from
Partner Countries.

Our
faculty as a part of a consortium of 13 institutions from 9 countries of EU was
successful with application for Erasmus+ K2 Cooperation for innovation and the
exchange of good practices - Knowledge Alliances. The project is named as University-industry educational Centre in
advanced Biomedical and Medical Informatics (CeBMI), and its goal is to
support educational process and develop courses addressing current progress in Biomedical
and Medical Informatics (BMI). Within the project, a centre in advanced BMI
will be developed. The centre will use new innovative cloud-based technology to
support the creation and delivery of new courses in BMI, which is a very
dynamic field undergoing rapid evolution and centrally featured in health
reforms across Europe. The courses will be offered at both undergraduate and
postgraduate levels to address a wide spectrum of core competency requirements
in the field of BMI. The centre will provide an invigorating environment for
the cooperation of technical and medical universities and enterprises in BMI
that will provide a pool of supplementary expertise, skills, and competences in
this area. Both universities and enterprises’ contemporaneous participation in
the project fosters a new trend of integrated medicine and IT educational
provision relevant for the definition of an emerging innovative BMI-related
professional profile that is well sought after by enterprises. The centre in
BMI will be open to other non-consortium partners that would like to be
involved in cooperative activities helping to ensure the project’s impact and
sustainability.
