BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT GRADUATE'S CAREER PROSPECTS
INFORMATICS
Within the framework of the full-time 3-year bachalor´s degree program in Informatics, the Faculty provides higher education in the field of informatics. The program is based on the knowledge of theoretical mathematics, which aids in understanding the broader connexions of information science as well as such fields as computing and communication networks, software and information systems. The graduate may continue in the master´s degree program and then in the PhD. program, or may enter practical professional life, where he can work as a designer, analysist, constructor or specialist in informatics. There are employment possibilities for him in various fields of information science as well as in all applications of information systems and information technology.
COMPUTER ENGINEERING
For the graduates of the full time 3-year bachelor´s degree program in Computer Engineering, the Faculty provides well-rounded higher education of the highest degree in computer engineering with knowledge of mathematics, physics, electronics, electrical measuring, logical systems, architecture of computers and computer networks, general informatics, programming and operation systems. Graduates will be ready to continue in the Master degree program and afterwards in the PhD.-program; or they can enter practical professional life, where they will be able to design computer systems and networks, to develop digital systems, and to operate and control digital systems. They will be able to implement digital systems based on microcomputers and programming client circuits. They can take a position as designer in production processes for measurement and diagnostic systems and take part in design and implementation of digital, communication and control systems.
MANAGEMENT
Graduates of the full-time 3-year bachelor´s degree program in Management can become a lower-level manager of a compamy. If they don´t want to continue in the 2-year master´s degree program, they are able to design, to control and to optimize social and economic processes using information and other company sources. They will be able to carry out financial, organizational, information and futher analysis of enterprise processes, to make its evaluation, optimization and to propose their changes and development. The will master procedures for working with information and for solving control questions by integrating information tools. They can assume various management posts in social and economic practice, in organizations, in establishments, in production, in research and communication activities.
