An inspiring lecture on the management of para-sports in Slovakia
We welcomed representatives from the Slovak Paralympic Committee to the Faculty of Management and Informatics, who prepared an inspiring lecture followed by a discussion for students enrolled in the Sports Management course. Secretary General PaedDr. Samuel Roško, MBA, and Martin Joppa, captain of the Slovak national para-hockey team, shared their practical experiences.

The lecture offered valuable insights into the specifics of para-sports management in Slovakia while also going beyond purely managerial topics. A significant part of the discussion focused on the issue of inclusion and the personal stories of athletes, which highlight how sports can help in coping with challenging life situations.

The high level of interest in the lecture was also confirmed by the participation of upper-class students, as well as high school students from the Secondary Sports School in Žilina, who thus had the opportunity to gain insight into the topic of parasports from the perspective of both an expert and an active athlete.

After the lecture, the guests spent time individually with students who are addressing the topic of parasports in their final theses and provided them with feedback on their proposals.
