FRI students have once again succeeded at the national Networking Academy Games 2026 competition
Students from the Faculty of Management and Informatics at the University of Žilina once again achieved excellent results at the 21st annual prestigious Networking Academy Games 2026 competition, which took place on April 29, 2026, in Košice. The national finals were attended by 115 students from 21 secondary schools and universities.
The competition tested both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of computer networks and cybersecurity. Contestants tackled challenging tasks focused on analyzing and solving problems they might encounter in the real-world operation of network infrastructures.
FRI students took top spots in the university categories. In the UNI-VŠ category focused on network technologies, Tibor Korcsok took 1st place and Alex Paulík took 3rd place. In the University Cybersecurity category, Kristína Šubjaková was the winner, and Dušan Kolenčík took 4th place.
These results confirm the high level of preparation of our students in the fields of network technologies and cybersecurity, as well as the importance of the practice-oriented education offered by the Cisco Networking Academy program.
We warmly congratulate the students and thank them for their excellent representation of our faculty.
