FRI UNIZA Students Successfully Participate in Parallel Mapathon with Doctors Without Borders Prague
On Thursday, 20 November 2025, another mapathon from the Missing Maps series took place at the Prague office of Doctors Without Borders. This event was unique because it was joined by virtual parallel mapathons organised in Brno, Prešov, Uherské Hradiště, and at the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics UNIZA in Žilina.
The total numbers are impressive: approximately 90 participants mapped an estimated 16,000 buildings in total. Two students from FRI UNIZA attended the event in Prague in person, while the other 17 students joined online from the faculty or their homes. The contribution of nearly 20 mappers from FRI UNIZA amounted to approximately 4,000 buildings, which is a quarter of the total result.
