Graduation Traditions at the Faculty of Management and Informatics, UNIZA 2026
Final exams begin tomorrow at the UNIZA Faculty of Management and Informatics. We’re rooting for all graduating students. As a reminder, here’s a brief overview of final exam traditions at our FRI:
Attaching flowers to the historic beam of our great Jean de Mijón
Jean de Mijón’s beam is located in front of the faculty building. It has become a lovely tradition for students to attach a flower to this historic beam as a sign of respect after successfully passing their final exams. Flowers will be available in the faculty atrium.
Loud ringing of the faculty bell
The faculty bell tower is located in front of the main entrance to the faculty. After successfully passing their state exams, graduates can loudly announce to everyone that they have successfully completed their studies at our FRI.
Leave the first signature of a new bachelor’s/master’s graduate in exchange for a somfri.sk pin
A roll-up banner is set up in the faculty atrium where new bachelor’s and engineering degree recipients can sign their names. This roll-up banner will be displayed at the graduation ceremonies at the City Hall in Žilina. As a reward for every successful graduate, a somfri.sk pin is available, which is given exclusively to graduates.
A photo with classmates as a keepsake
A large photo wall is set up in the faculty atrium for taking pictures. Students from the FRI Club will gladly take your photo as a successful graduate, whether individually or with friends. Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram @budfri.sk. Thank you.
We’re rooting for the graduating students and believe that Jean de Mijon’s historic beam will bloom again after a year.
