Prestigious Awards for Our Colleagues in Science and Research
On 21 October 2025, the Dean, Prof. Ing. Emil Kršák, PhD, held a meeting with two awarded colleagues: Prof. Ing. Elena Zaitseva, PhD, from the Department of Informatics and Prof. Ing. Pavel Segeč, PhD, from the Department of Information Networks.
Recently, Prof. Elena Zaitseva won the main 'Woman in IT' category. As she was unable to attend the awards ceremony in person, the Dean presented the award to her during the FRI UNIZA Scientific Board meeting held on 13 October 2025.
Our colleague, Prof. Pavel Segeč, was a finalist in the 'Outstanding Personality in Higher Education' category of the prestigious Eset Science Award, which recognises exceptional scientific figures in Slovakia.
The Dean thanked both colleagues for their scientific and research work at the faculty, and for representing the faculty and the university. They also discussed opportunities for further supporting the development of research and scientific activities at the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics (FRI UNIZA).
We once again warmly congratulate Prof. Zaitseva and Prof. Segeč and wish them much continued success in their research and in developing their research teams at the faculty.
