The winners of the third annual Junior Coder competition have been announced
On March 25, we welcomed the finalists of the Junior Coder programming competition to the Faculty of Management and Informatics at UNIZA. Twenty-three talented future programmers from virtually all over Slovakia competed in the final round.

As expected, the competition was fierce, which was reflected in the results.
1st place went to Samuel Obert from the St. Francis of Assisi Secondary Vocational School, Banská Štiavnica

2nd place went to Matej Bušo from Ľudovít Štúr High School, Trenčín, and Tomáš Sedlák from the High School at Šrobárova 1, Košice

3rd place went to Tibor Pajtina from the Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering, Komenského, Žilina, and Michal Slaninák from the Jozef Miloslav Hurban High School, Čadca

We warmly congratulate the winners and all other finalists on their outstanding success and wish them continued success in the fields of programming and computer science. We hope to see many of them next year at the next edition of the competition or as colleagues in the halls of the Faculty of Management and Informatics at UNIZA.
Special thanks go to our colleagues Ing. Michal Varga, PhD., Ing. Michal Mrena, PhD., and our colleague Ing. Linde Blahová from the Department of Computer Science, as well as our successful graduates Ing. Terézia Mĺkva and Ing. Natália Révészová for the successful organization of the third edition of the competition.
A big thank you also goes to our partner company, M2M Solutions, for its annual support of this competition for talented high school students focused on programming.
We are already looking forward to next year’s competition.
