The Faculty of Management Science and Informatics (FRI) at UNIZA is participating in the CEEPUS programme from the academic year 2024/25. We see this as an alternative and a valuable addition to the Erasmus+ programme.
Key Differences Between Erasmus+ and CEEPUS
-
Erasmus+ is coordinated centrally by the university's Rectorate. Funding is received through annual projects prepared and managed by the Rectorate, which then distributes the funds. For Erasmus+ mobilities, the sending institution (i.e., UNIZA) provides the financial support.
-
CEEPUS is coordinated by a contact person for the specific CEEPUS network. The UNIZA Rectorate is not involved in the processes of sending or receiving mobility participants (teachers, staff, students). For CEEPUS mobilities, the receiving institution – one of our CEEPUS network partners – provides the financial support.
Mobilities for Winter Semester 2026/27
FRI UNIZA's CEEPUS Networks
Currently, FRI UNIZA is involved in two networks:
-
As a partner in "Engineering as Communication Language in Europe". This network is coordinated by Koszalin University of Technology, Department of Electronics and Computer Science. It boasts over 44 partners from the following countries: Poland, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Moldova, Albania, and Kosovo*.
-
As a coordinator for "Interdisciplinary Network for ICT, Entrepreneurship & Management". This network comprises six faculties: FRI UNIZA Žilina, FES UPCE Pardubice, FOV UM Kranj, FOI UNIZG Varazdin, FON UB Beograd, and FSK UNSA Sarajevo.
You'll find links for more information about each network in the list provided. Please let me know if you are interested in a student mobility or traineeship within these networks.
All activities for the winter semester 2026/27 must be agreed upon in advance with the receiving organisation, and grant applications must be submitted in a timely manner. The deadline for applying for CEEPUS international mobilities is 30th April 2026.
I hope we can successfully launch the CEEPUS project mobilities at FRI. Should you have any further questions, Associate Professor Peter Márton, Vice-Dean, is naturally available to assist you.
