We would like to invite you to the lectures in the field of informatics applications in medicine and biomedicine, which will take place on Wednesday 30/11/2022 from 15:00 to 18:00 in room RC009 and on Thursday 1/12/2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 in room RC007. The lectures are organized as part of a meeting of representatives of 13 institutions from 9 European countries, the aim of which is to evaluate the results of the Erasmus+ project called University-industry educational Center in advanced Biomedical and Medical Informatics (CeBMI) aimed at the development of biomedical informatics. We
would like to invite you to a lecture on “Electrical
Biosignals, Their Sources and Application in Medicine”, which will be
delivered by MUDr. Mária Starečková from Hospital with Polyclinic Považská
Bystrica on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10:00 in room RA301. The lecturer
is a neurologist who primarily deals with EMG examinations. As part of the
lecture, she will explain the essence of electrical biosignals, the source of
which is the human body, and clarify the use of ECG, EEG and EMG in practical
medicine. The lecture is organized within the course on “Machine Processing of Medical Data” and in cooperation with the Erasmus+ CeBMI
project, which focuses on the further development of teaching biomedical
informatics.

From 12 to 14 October 2022 in Prague, the faculty management took part in the GRIFO 2022 – meeting of faculties of informatics of polytechnical universities in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. This meeting was organised by the Faculty of information technology of the Czech Technical University. There were sessions dedicated to the study, international cooperation, cooperation with industry partners, research and development, and management. The meeting participants shared their experiences and best practices from the previous year. The upcoming meeting will be organised by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics in Ostrava.
