Dizertačná práca je zameraná na problematiku strategického riadenia v mestských samosprávach za podpory informačno – komunikačných prostriedkov. Vzhľadom na podporu týchto prostriedkov ide o novú koncepciu miest – Smart Cities. Cieľom dizertačnej práce je na základe teoretických východísk a podrobnej analýze súčasného stavu v mestách navrhnúť model strategického manažmentu mesta s dôrazom na riadenie mobility v meste prostredníctvom koncepcie inteligentného mesta. Práca pozostáva z piatich kapitol, ktoré sú venované teoretickým východiskám skúmanej problematiky, analýzam z praxe, ktoré potvrdzujú dôležitosť celej práce. Ďalšou časťou je primárny výskum, ktorý je zameraný na štyri zainteresované strany: mestá, obyvateľov, Smart City iniciatívy a Vyššie územné celky. The dissertation thesis is focused on the problem of strategic management in municipalities with the support of information and communication technology. Given the support of these technology, this is a new concept of cities - Smart Cities. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to design a model of strategic city management based on theoretical background and a detailed analysis of the current situation in cities with an emphasis on urban mobility management through the concept of a Smart City. The work consists of five chapters, which are devoted to the theoretical basis of the researched issues, analyzes from practice, which confirm the importance of the whole work. The next part is primary research, which focuses on four stakeholders: cities, residents, Smart City initiatives and Regions.
